About

MY BACKGROUND

I bring a decade's worth of experience in academic libraries. I am a practical problem-solver and advocate for community-centered approaches to collections management. My interests are in digital exhibits, shared print repositories, archives, as well as reframing scholarly communication practices in open
scholarship and open education practices. I am passionate about Open Education Resources as a way to support student success and inclusive scholarship. Prior to coming to Northwestern University, I held concurrent roles with AmeriCorps projects focused on early childhood education and community based literacy interventions. I did my practicum in 2019 at Loyola University Libraries in collection assessment and instruction. My love for librarianship is centered in relationship building. I hold a BA in Theatre & Drama and a MSLIS from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
