I designed a 75-minute instructional session that I called 'Discovering and Analyzing Information for Reflection and Action'. This link will take you to one of the classroom exercises.
I developed worksheets for my instruction session including a search strategy worksheet. I also have a defining features matrix.

I am passionate about supporting library services for periphery user populations. One facet of this that I am especially interested in is information-seeking behavior. I researched this issue during my LIS program and proposed a needs-based model for immigrant library services, as you will note in this paper.

I designed a LibGuide for early career librarians who are teaching with the ACRL framework. This LibGuide focuses on the frame 'Authority is Constructed and Contextual'. A supplement to the LibGuide is a powerpoint to walk instructors through basics of teaching this frame. I also included a sample lesson plan for Strategic Searching, adapted from my practicum.
Take a look at the detailed transcript of my classes at U of I.
